Religious Topics

These are just thoughts on issues encountered while studying, praying and (hopefully) growing in my faith.  They are opinions and if I come across as authoritative, arrogant or preachy - please forgive my lack of writing ability.  I am discovering my faith - I fully expect these opinions to change and grow over time.  I would love to hear your thoughts, email me!

Sin : This is a crucial issue for me - confusion regarding sin prevented me from approaching religion seriously.  What do you think?  If God made man, isn't sin part of our nature and not our fault?

Literal / Non-Literal Interpretation : I believe that if interpreting the Bible literally helps you get closer to God than you should interpret it literally.  For me, the opposite is true - click on the link if it interests you why...

Self-Worship: Much of the pain in our lives comes from an unconscious desire to be God.  We seek to control our lives and are frustrated when we cannot.
